Happy single awareness day!
Sunday, February 14, 2010
As my roomate said to me today, "happy single awareness day! -staceypants" I was laughing so hard! She is the funniest girl ever! Well what a wonderful day! Sabbath day festivities have been awesome! I loved how sacrament meeting focused on love for the Savior and how we can grow a stronger love for Him. I love when people share their testimonies on Christ. I thought it was fantastic. Then staceypants gave the relief society lesson. It was on agency. I love that we are studying gospel essentials. I can always use those fundamental lessons we learn. It has been great. Then stacey and I went to temple prep class. It was great. I love Sundays! Jake made me dinner of chicken alfredo and it was so yummy. He even made me a cute valentines card. Then we watched some tv show episodes and a funny comedian. Then I came home and my roommate Emily had cute cupcakes and candy waiting on the kitchen table, so of course, ate lots! Then Stacey and I tried to see how high we could raise our eyebrows and discovered we have zero control over those kinds of things in life. Stacey and I are now going to terrorize the streets of the town. We only talk in man voice and rap as we drop off valentines on peoples doors. Then we ate more candy and pizza. College life if is really healthy. The turtles have been a blast! Every morning when I wake up they are so entertaining. This morning the 3 baby turtles were sitting on top of Mr. T. By the time I took the picture most of them jumped off the pirate dock and so I only got a picture of Herbie and Alfredo. I love baby turtles! Today I am grateful for baby turtles, great weather, Sunday treats, and warm winter coats.

Slept till 7pm. Went and got ice cream at the new ice cream place Farrs, ate chickafila, started to make some flowers for headbands, played with fire, spray painted more on the paper macsahe piggy banks, fed the four TMNT baby turtles, ate little ceasers yummy pizza and breadsticks, and watched the one and only original "20 thousand leagues under the sea." and yes, fell asleep through that. Sleep is good for you.
The Melting Pot

Its always a great day when its Friday! Well, went and did a bunch of paper work at college today to find out how I can finish up to graduate next fall! Ok it will now be next winter. Oh well, Wahoo! My uncle works on campus so I went and said hello to him! He is an amazing uncle! Its so nice to have family around to be with and know that are there! I am so grateful for family and how no matter what, they are always there for you and love you. Jake and I are celebrating valentines day today, and all weekend so I heart attacked his room! I cut out a couple hundred hearts and wrote funny inside jokes on them. I felt like there were so many hearts, but when they went up on the walls, not so many. Ha ha then put all his favorite candies next to a giant stuffed animal squid I made for him last week. Every Friday I go snowboarding but I seem to be sick a lot latley and I threw up so, I thought it may not be the best idea to go. So I have been a bum, lounging around, eating starburst jellybeans, watched "encino man" and Dr. Oz. He kind of looks like my uncle I visited today. But I learned that if your tired or fatigued, sniff a lemon scent, do not push the snooze button, just get up and take a daily vitamin before a big meal. I also learned its important to wear sunscreen, a daily moistureizer and sleep on your back to stay looking younger longer. I also think drinking lots of h2o should be on that list. Jake came over after work and he brought me flowers! He got me gerber daisies, and didn't even know that they were my favorite! And he got them all in my favorite colors. We then did another layer of paper mashae on our piggy banks and started to spray paint them fluorescent pink! I usually spray paint things inside because I am scared to go outside by myself but since jake was here I opened the window. Bad idea, spray paint dust went everywhere and on everything so it created and unnecessary mess on my part. Then we went to the "melting pot" for dinner. It was a great time of cheese, meats and chocolate! We got the turtle chocolate fondue with dark chocolate and it was fantastic!
Valentines is beginning

Even though hairschool is a bit ruff for me, the parties make it worth it! Today we had a valentines day party! We ate salads, cheese that tastes like macaroni, and awesome homemade bread sticks made from teacher Jilain. Then we frosted big heart sugar cookies, and the best part, ate them! I guess you could say with my great frosting skills I should go apply at a bakery. This afternoon I felt sick so hairschool was put on the back burner and a new outfit needed to be found. Wahoo! Then I came home and Jake came over and we watched the nickaloden movie "goodburger." Yes, a true classic. It made us hungry for burgers so we went to "fiveguys." It was delectable, huge with dos patties, and good spicy fries and sauce. As we leaned from "goodburger," its all about the sauce. Mr. Kangaroo came and kept us company as well. Then we decided since we were super full we needed candy! Macys grocery store by far has the best kind of candy selection around here! They even have chocolate covered cinnamon bears and starburst jellybeans. Then jake and I went back to my place and we watched "peewee hermans greatest adventure" and started to make paper mashae(however you spell) piggy banks! We have been wanting to make these for over two months now! I am so happy we finally got to start these! We used one to one ratios of Elmers glue and water for paste and it worked great! For the piggy we used balloons and toilet paper roll insides for the snout and legs. We then hung the piggies by the end of the balloon on a string on the fan so they could hang to dry. I am so excited to finish them! What a great day!
Decapitated Heads
Wednesday, February 10, 2010
At hairschool a bunch of old manican heads were going to be thrown away. Lucky my teachers knew I would love them and asked if I would like them, my answer was YES!!! These decapitated heads have been a major source of joy for my roommate Stacey. They come to dinner with us, out on adventures, hidden in sweet places and much more. At least every week since we got them, back in October, Stacey and I have a date with the manican heads to go out and do something fun! For some weird reason, her and I are quite found of these heads. Its so great to have such a good friend that has the same kind of humor as me. I am so grateful for wonderful people that always brighten your day and make it better! I always get excited to hide manicans in staceys belongings or room, or find one somewhere in my room.
Disney Day 3!!!
Wednesday, February 3, 2010
Day 3! This was our last day to play at Disneyland! We had been having the funnest time ever, we were thinking of going more, but three days of Disneyland all day is a bit tiring! Oh so worth it though. The last day just Jake and I went, and it happened to land on our officially day of dating for one month, even though realistically we have been dating alot longer than that. haha We had mapped out all the spots we had missed and wanted to go play on. We made a goal to go on every ride at least 3 times. We were so tired because there were no lines, when we got off a ride, we would run back to the same ride and keep riding it. Feburary is defiantly the best time of the year to go to Dland.
Hanging out at Tarzan's Treehouse with R2D2, and Yoda backpacks. All day we kept getting comments from our matching backpacks. We even had people come up to us and ask if they could take pictures of us. A funny, great day!
This was round one on Thunder Mountain. This is one of my favorite rides. I always feel bad for the person who is sitting next to me though, because no matter what I seem to tourer them the entire ride by tickling them or harassing them. It provides for some good entertainment. Jake happened to be this victim almost every time on this ride. bahaha
This was by round three. We were getting headaches, but sooooo worth it!
Yes, all the pictures look the same, but this is in Indiana Jones. Wahoo! We went on this ride 5 times in a row! It is one of our favorite rides.
The best part about Disneyland is the food, and Mickey themed! We decided all the things we didnt get a chance to eat, we will eat all today! Mickey pretzels with cheese! Yum!
Star Tours is Jake's favorite. Bryce tried to get us to go on this ride over and over again. This ride I could not do on our 3 time rule.
Walking to Star Tours. Wahooooooo! Headache here we come. But its still a fun ride.
The worker lady asked if we wanted to have our own spaceship to fly, the answer: defiantly not. Flying a spaceship is so much funner with four people. (Yoda, r2d2, Jake and Kelsey).
The Magical Disney Castle.
CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE! CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE! CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE!Jake's fish-eye lens is awesome because it captures everything in the surroundings. cooool
Remember how my sole intentions of even going to California Adventure was to go to the Corn Dog Castle and get a yummy corn dog? Remember how Ariel and her water show are taking over, and the Corn Dog castle is no longer? Me to. It was a sad day. But good news.......the farmer market made hand dipped corn dogs!
Taking a spin in the Ferris wheel. We went in a moving cart. Kinda scary.
This became one of our favorite rides. The monsters inc ride was super cute. We tried many times to count how many eyeballs we could find in the ride but there were way too many.
WAHOOO!!! The entire Star Wars Backpack Family Unites!!!!!!!!!!!! Bryce had the Chewy backpack at home and brought him with him when him and Amber came to meet up with us at Disneyland!
I have the greatest sister ever! She is so much fun and the best party animal ever! She is quite the trooper for meeting up with us so much! It was so nice to see her! I love coming into town and being able to play with her and her family! I am grateful she is a supporter of Star Wars and got Bryce such a cool backpack.
Winnie the Pooh ride!
Sadly, the last night of the Disney. Such a great and Joyous time. Disneyland is really where all your wildest dreams come true!
