Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  We had a pretty laid back weekend getting things caught up around the house and going out to meals with friends!  We got some fun new items for the house I had a blast re creating a few spaces in our home!

These pictures were taken at the front of The Grand America Hotel. The hotel is just stunning inside and out.  When you walk out the gold doors it feels so glamours and fun!  Also, they usually always have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies right inside the doors so we tended to hang out in this area a lot! The cookies were always so soft and delicious I couldn't help but going back for more!

I got these Dolce Vita Heline Heels a few weeks ago and loved them online, but loved them even more in person!  The heel height is not to high so they are great to wear for lots of outfits!  I really have been wearing them any chance I can get!  They have looked fab in jeans, dresses, skirts, etc.! The heels are also on sale now!  I saw they have them in a metallic silver ones and I might have to order myself another pair!  You can never have to many awesome pairs of shoes :)

Jake is wearing some new denim and tee he picked up from DSTLD.  They have really cool modern wear for men and women for a great price!  We both picked up some new denim from them and have been extremely happy with the quality and price! (most jeans are around $65) Also, they have high waisted jeans for women, which I am obsessed!  They come to the perfect height on my waist and feel so comfy to wear all day and night!

Road trips are one of our favorite things to do together.  We also enjoy flying, but there really is something fun about a long drive!  We love to listen to music, books on tape (always Jurassic Park) or spend the entire time talking!  I think our favorite part though is all the scenery changes!  Its fun to get out of your usual element and see something new!

I bought this Karen Walker Dress several years ago from Anthropologie and find my self still wearing it often! I have always loved silk and find when you buy quality silk, the garments hold up and stay in great condition!

Jake is wearing a polo style shirt he purchased from Everlane.  He loved that he was able to get a great summer top for a reasonable price/quality.  One of Everlane's logans is "high end basics" and we think they do a really great job at that!

When we travel we always try to pick out items to wear for the car/plane ride that are breathable, soft and easy to wear!  I am such a sandal or slip on sneaker type of gal when we travel because I usually end up taking off my shoes at some point!  Is there anything you like to wear when you travel?

When Jake and I spent some time at The Grand America Hotel we got to hang out at the outdoor pool.  It was super hot outside so we spent most of the time hiding in our cabana and sitting in the pool! We love that we could hang out in pool chairs right by each other.  We ordered some pool-side service and got some tacos and chips and dip!  It was all delicious, but I loved the fish tacos! Jake loved the guac and salsa!

I recently got this fun floral orange dress from Rhea Et Cetera  Right when I saw it I knew it would go perfectly with this gingham swimsuit from Kingdom and State!  The floral dress is probably not made as a pool dress but it worked perfectly!  I love items that can be versatile for summer for a day out, night on the town or a fun time at the pool!  I am excited to style it another way someday.

Last week Jake and I had a super fun stay at The Grand America Hotel!  We had so much fun exploring the hotel grounds!  There are so many beautiful places there, like this gem of a garden we discovered.  The gardeners were in the process of planting annuals and all the pretty flowers and plants everywhere made such and amazing backdrop.

I was so glad I had my new Kate Spade purse with me.  I've named her Shelly the Garden Snail.  I think she is so cute and she was the perfect fit for these lovely gardens.

Jake and I recently stocked up on some fun Sperry Topsiders for summer!  We were so glad we did!  We didn't realize we would be wearing them so much!  I love having a cute pair of sneakers that are easy to throw on with a dress or some jeans! Jake his been wearing his Sperrys to the pool, out and about and on lots of our adventures these days!

Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration Mickey Ears

When we got to go to Disneyland a few weeks ago, we were so excited that we got to be there at the start of the Disneyland's 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration!  Jake and myself are big Mickey Ear fans and always love to see what new ones Disney has come out with!  So of course...the first thing we did when we entered the park was run to the shops and look for 60th Anniversary Mickey ears!

I saw these rhinestone ears in a glass display box and right away when I saw them, I knew they were a must!  I had so much fun wearing them all day and see the sparkle in the sun!  Can't wait to wear them again!  Jake really loved that they had a simple set of Mickey ears for him!  He loved the silver and blue color combo!

We were so sad while we were there we didn't get a chance to see the new Light up Parade, but we heard its amazing!  We are hoping to go to Disneyland again in a few months so hopefully we can see it then!

I bought this colorblock pletated Kate Spade dress a few months ago when Jake and I were on a fun trip for his birthday in Vegas!  I have been wearing it all the time and knew it would be a perfect Disneyland dress!  It was so comfy to wear all day!  Jakes fun popsicle shirt is from Forever 21!  He thought since it was such a colorful shirt it might be hard to pair with a lot of outfits, but he has been surprised how many outfits he has been able to find to go with the top.  We both have not shopped at Forever 21 in years have been pleasantly surprised with their mens line lately!  We will be going back!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend!

Recently Jake and I got to meet up with the owner of Madsen Cycles and got to hear about the company!  We were so excited when we got to try out the bikes and have fun riding them around!  One thing that I didn't know is there is little bench seats in the buckets with seat-belts!  We thought that was such a cute touch to the bikes!  I also love that you can get the bikes in all types of fun and bright colors!

This past week Jake and I got to spend the entire week at the beautiful Grand America Hotel! We had so much fun playing at the hotel and spending some time a convention called Alt Summit!  Jake and I even got to speak at the convention so that was really fun for us! We really loved being at the hotel/convention and seeing lots of friendly faces and making new friends as well!

Today I am wearing some flats I got from Seychelles a few weeks ago.  I have really enjoyed having them and find myself wearing them all the time! I saw that they recently went on sale, so if you are needing a fun pair summer flats, they may be your shoe :)

This week Jake and I had a chance to speak at a blogging/design conference called Alt Summit!  We had a blast! We spoke on building your brand and brand positioning.  We had so much fun meeting lots of new people and sharing more about what we love to do ;)
