Today we are so excited to share with you the start of a series for three wedding looks!  Todays look is all about the brunch!  Wedding times can be super fun, but with lots of wedding activities like bridal showers, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, brunches, reception, wedding ceremonies, etc. getting all your outfits organized and ready to go before hand can sometimes be tuff!  We have had quite a few weddings to attend lately so we got our shopping on early so we could be prepared to be dressed and ready for any wedding occasion!

I got this fun dress from Aidan Mattox!  This was my first time wearing this brand and the fit was true to size.  I was shocked at how the two mesh panels made my legs look so long in these photos! I am pretty short, so finding a dress that added some length is pretty great.

Jake normally wears slacks with a blazer but since breakfast is pretty casual he went with a dark skinny jean.  He got these DSTLD pants a few years ago and they are a huge staple in his wardrobe!  A dark black pant really goes with a lot.

And of course, since this outfit was for a brunch it was all about having a fun handbag and shoes!  I got this darling purse from Danielle Nicole who has the cutest Disney inspired handbags ever!  I am so obsessed with her Disney line, I purchased a few of the handbags to wear for our next Disney trip.  Wahoo!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day :)

Its crazy how depending on where you are, the weather is so diffrent!  We were just in Arizona and we both brought jackets and jeans, and ended up wearing short sleeves and shorts all week!  It was so toasty out, it was a fun change!  I was glad though I didn't need to wear a jacket with my Donna Morgan dress because the little button details are too cute to cover up!

If you know me, I am a huge Disney fan and I am always looking for ways to incorporate anything Disney into my outfit! When I found out about Danielle Nicole's collaboration with Disney I was hooked!  She has the cutest handbags that are inspired by some of my favorite Disney movies and are so darling!  If you want to grab your hands on some Disney fun, make sure to tune into HSN.com tomorrow at 6AM for the launch of the entire collection!

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Finding the Perfect Travel Luggage with Lipault Paris

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Jake and I love to travel.  We love exploring new places and re-visiting familiar ones too!  One thing we have learned when we are out of town is that there is a "perfect bag" for the trip!  You can always have a go-to suitcase or a bag you love to travel with, but sometimes you need a suitcase for a certain need!  Depending on if we are staying in a home, or a hotel, or how long a trip is, decides all these things for us!  Here are a few examples of some bags we have found that we really like and why!

Dress: Chelsea28
Purse: Burberry
Sunglasses: Le Specs
Sandals: Tory Burch
Lipstick: Mac- Girl About Town

COLLAPSIBLE DUFFLE BAG ON WHEELS-
This collapsible bag is the perfect size for a long cruise, small hotel room or a small trunk space in a car!  I got this piece of luggage specifically for a cruise.  I loved how it is collapsable.  It collapses pretty flat which is great if you are somewhere for a long stay and want to unpack your clothes and need to hide your suitcase in a corner or under a bed after your clothing is out of it.  This is a large duffle so you can fit a lot of clothing and shoes in it (as well as souvenirs to bring home)!  Jake and I went on a week trip and were both able to fit all our clothes in.

This particular suitcase stays true to duffle bag form with a flexible exterior but has a hard bottom, side pockets, and the best part...it has wheels and a handle!   One thing I love about Lipault Paris is that all the luggage came with cute color-matching hardware and luggage-tag, and when stowed away, the handle that you use to roll your bag is zipped out of sight! Not to mention, they come in super cute colors, so I'm a fan!  You can also get the luggage in traditional black, brown or navy, but I was all about the fun colors!  There is no way I'm going to get this piece confused with someone else's!

Lipstick: Mac- Heroine
Pants: Level 99
Shoes: Vince
Purse: Kate Spade

CLASSIC SUITCASE WITH A TWIST-
To be honest, I have never had a luggage bag that spins around on all 4 wheels so effortlessly!  Somehow this suitcase balances really well and does a great job spinning on the 4 wheels at a time.  You can also use the bag on 2 wheels if you prefer to pull it that way.  I want to take this suitcase out on some cobble street roads and see how it does :) I bet it would do awesome!

This suitcase comes in a variety of sizes from carry-on and up, but I went with the large size so Jake and I could both use the bag.  Sometimes we like to share a suitcase on a trip so we don't have our hands so full with all our camera gear and hanging garment bags.

Ball Cap: Angels
Jacket: Cole Haan
Dress: Loft
Lipstick: Mac-RubyWoo

THE WEEKEND BAG-
I got this weekend bag a few weeks ago and have already used it several times!  We took it with us recently on a quick trip to Idaho Falls, and it was great to carry all the goods.  This bag is so wide on the bottom one pair of shoes fit flat without overlapping/stacking.  The top opens wide so you can keep your clothes folded while they go in.  There are exterior pockets perfect for toiletries and electronic cables as well as interior pockets if you want to keep papers or trinkets separate from your clothing.

The bag comes with a shoulder strap that is removable if you don't like to keep it on all the time.  The strap is light and foldable so it fits perfect in the interior pocket.

If you're looking for the perfect gym bag, this would also be a great option!  I decided to keep this bag in our closet since it doesn't take up a lot of space and is a great go-to bag.

Do you have a type of luggage you find you travel with often that you love? Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a good one!

*Thank you eBags for partnering in today's post.

Isn't this pink water beyond cool?! I didn't color correct any of these photos because I loved them raw just how they were!  I still can't get over how pink the water was!  When we were out exploring, we felt like we were on another planet or in a cool sci-fi movie.  I need to find out what makes the water so pink, but I think the combo of the storm rolling in, and the white salt intensified the color even more!  If you ever get a chance to visit here, DO IT!  It is beyond magical and feels like a slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere!

ABOUT THE SPIRAL JETTY:
The Spiral Jetty is an art piece out in nature.  It was designed by Robert Smithson and completed in 1970.  The spiral is made up of black basalt rocks, is 1,500 feet log and 15 feet wide winding counterclockwise off the shore of the water.  Depending on the water level the spiral can be covered by water, or exposed.  If you care how you will see it, make sure to check the water levels before you go on google maps!

LOCATION:
The Spiral Jetty is located about 45 miles outside Brigham City, in Utah at Rozel Point on the Northeastern shore of the Great Salt Lake.  It is right next to the Golden Spike National Monument! If you have extra time, or have all day to explore, make sure to go check out that historic site too!  It is $7 per car and I heard they have restrooms there! We were just driving through the area and got to the Spiral Jetty late in afternoon so sadly we didn't make it over to the Golden Spike!  To go to the Spiral Jetty there is no charge.

You can find step by step driving instructions HERE.  Make sure to screen shot these directions to your phone or pay attention following the signs because your phone GPS internet will most likely cut out. Ours did!

We you arrive to the Spiral Jetty, there is a small parking lot.  You will be driving a good 25 miles on a bumpy dirt road.  If you have a 4 wheel drive car, we would recommend taking that.  A small car would probably do just fine if you drive slow and the weather is good, but 4 wheel drive can be really helpful!

COST:
None!  How cool is that?! It does not cost anything except your car miles, gas and time :)

TIPS:
-Pack treats, food and water.  We always make sure to have some sort of food with us when we are out and about because you never know when you will get hungry and need something to eat.  There is also nothing close to grab a quick bite to eat or go through a drive through.  If you want a meal, the closet places to eat are 45 miles away!
-Have a full tank of gas.  Once you are out there, there is no place to get gas.  The last place to get gas is in Corinne so make sure to fill up there!
-Dress accordingly!  We knew we would be playing in the water so we made sure to bring shoes that could be thrown in the wash or just wipe off!  You can go swimming in the water so bring your swimsuit if you know you will want to jump in some magical pink water! (It's not always this vibrant pink but should have some pink hues.  The storm rolling in helped make the water look brighter.)
-If you need to go to the restroom before or after your visit to the Spiral Jetty, make sure to go at the Golden Spike National Historic Site Visitors Center.  They do not charge to go to the visitor center and use restrooms.  They have a sign to that says last call to use restrooms.
-If you plan on playing in the water, or walking in it, bring a spare pair of shoes!  You don't want to have to drive home or to wherever you are going with super stiff clothes and shoes after they dry.  Plus it will get your car super dirty! It is really salty, and by really salty.... its intense!  Jakes pants looked like they were stone washed after playing in the water, but all the salt rinsed out just great in the wash.  We brought garbage bags and just tossed our shoes in them, and wore spare shoes to drive home in.
-It can get super windy so bring a jacket, especially if you plan on spending time by the water!  It can get chilly!

Everything you need to know about the Spiral Jetty

When we left, Jake snapped a picture of the sunset and a rain drop fell on the camera lens.  When we looked at the camera and saw this was the picture from it, we both thought it was pretty rad :)  If you want to see more the Spiral Jetty, or how pink the water really was, heres our VLOG from the day!

I have been wanting to find a comfy and cute overalls for some time now and feel I finally found the perfect pair!  And they were $108, which was awesome!  Most overalls I have seen are around $200+ so these ones were a serious winner in my book!  They fit true to size, but are a softy stretchy material, so I bet you could size down if you wanted!

Jake is wearing some of his favorite items that he often wears!  He loves his Jcrew short slim short sleeve shirts!  He wears them all the time!

We are big fans of finding brands and items that we love, and buying a few of them in diffrent colors!  Its always great to have go to items that you know you like to wear that will be clean in your closet whenever you need them!

P.S. I am putting this blog post together while catching up on Bachelor in Paradise season finale!  Wahoo!  Anyone else watch it?! Were you happy with how everything ended up!?!?!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have an awesome week!!
