Fishy Fishy--- P.S. its finally Shark week!

This summer has been full of travels! I feel like I have been gone all summer and am now just getting back home and getting back into the swing of things.  One of my favorite things my I got to do with my family was go to the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium.   All the kids loved the aquarium!  We had fun looking around and seeing all the neat fish and exhibits!

Since today is the start of SHARK WEEK, I only thought it was appropriate to post a fishy themed post!  If you know me, you know my favorite animals are great white sharks, alligators, and turtles.  It has always been my dream to go to Africa and go cage diving with great whites.  I have gone diving with pretty big sharks before, but someday, I want to dive with the big dogs!  I saw online that the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium is doing some fun fin activities in honor of Shark week.  If you dont live in AZ, check out your local aquarium, I bet they might be doing something fun to celebrate!

I have always been a huge water fan, so I love seeing so many fun fish at the aquarium!  My favorite animal we saw at the aquarium was the sting ray.  He was so dang cute sitting on a ledge so I could get a picture of his cute belly.  It looked like it he was smiling for the picture.  It made me pretty happy!

Being at the aquarium made me think how much I really do love the ocean, and in fact my entire house is nautical.  It is decorated with metal anchors and octopus curtains and plates :)  I love how the ocean inspires so many areas of the home and fashion world!  Here are a few fun finds that are inspired from the ocean/water life.

AZ Natural History Museum

When Jake and I were in Arizona we got to spend an afternoon at the Arizona Natural History Museum in Mesa. We had so much fun! We spent about 3 hours there and could of spent a lot more time there! There were so many neat and exciting things to see! It was also a great way to escape the afternoon heat!

Two of our favorite exhibits were an old jail house that the museum is built around! How neat is that?! And a little creepy! It was a little erie going into a jail cell that I knew people really slept in! There was also an exhibit that had all the movies that were filmed in Arizona! There were many I had seen, and many I still need too see! Oh also there is a movie room, and you can pan for gold!

We also loved all the dinosaurs and a waterfall they had that came and did mudd slide! I don't know if you guys knew, but I am a HUGE dinosaur lover! Jake is too! That is one thing that bonded up together :) Our love of dinos! haha On our first official date we watched Jurassic Park!

AZ Eats!

As you may notice...I love to go out to eat! When I go out of town, I love to go out to eat to favorite places, and try new places! When I was in Arizona I got to eat at lots of super yummy places!

When at home, mom and I got to eat a lovely lunch at Mango Restaurant.  We got the grilled chicken salad. It was so delicious! The grilled chicken was divine!

One evening, my sister Amber orded us some amazing Barro's Pizza! Seriously some of the best pizza ever! I really love their red sauce and mushrooms. And the chicken wings.....oh wow! Boneless and bone in are both so yummy! We were all so hungry and scarfed it up so quick, I just took a picture of the pizza box.

My mom and I went out for yogurt with Val. It was so fun! We tried a new place by our home called zoyo. It was really delicious. There were lots of yummy flavors and great toppings!

Anytime I am home, I HAVEEEE to go to Native New Yorker! Oh my.....best wings in the world! Hot and honey hot are my favorite flavors! My sister Amber and I got to go on a fun lunch date here! One time eating here was not enough!

Another of my favorite places in AZ is Sweet Cakes Cafe! I love the turkey delight sandwich and the sugar cookies! Well, all the cookies, sandwiches and soups are so good! Sweet Cakes is family owned, super cute location in downtown Mesa, and oh so amazing!

Growing up, every Monday my family and I would go to Neds Crazy Subs for dinner! Ohhhh I love it here! The club, hot on wheat, and turkey are my favorites! I always remember Ned himself greeting us and saying hello every time we ate here!

If you want to try the best salsa in the world...this is it! If you are ever in AZ I recommend picking some up! JalapenoBuck's Buckin Good Gourmet really is the best!

Another favorite that I got to eat at is Neilsens Frozen Custard! Wowee delicious!  The fries, turkey avocado sub and to die for!

Another Monday night favorite in our Bang family was Mesa Frozen Yogurt. Its changed owners since I was a child, but the yogurt is still just as good! They also have the best frozen ice cream pies!

One place my sisters all wanted to go to was Oreganos! I am so glad we went forgot because I forgot how delicious it was!

We got to enjoy a lovely evening outside under heaters enjoying a delicious meal! It was so fun to eat outside! I cant do that much in Utah right now.

Oh yes...there is lots of garlic in Oreganos food! But its ok...Garlic breath is sexy!

One great thing about Arizona is all the citrus trees! My parents have lots of orange trees in their back yard and they are so fun to pick and eat! The fresh squeezed orange juice is the best! My mom is a pro at it!

In Prescott Arizona there is the cutest Italian restaurant called Rosa's Pizzeria! The environment, atmosphere is so cute and homey!

The last place I got to eat with my fam was at Buffalo Wild Wings. We got jalepeno poppers, boneless and bone in wings, and a salad! Perfect combo! I loved spending time with fam and eating out with them. I am missing them all dearly right now looking at all these pictures.
