Last weekend, Jake and I took a lovely walk around Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. It was stunning out! Sometimes, white/icy snow out can be so peaceful and beautiful! We had so much fun seeing all the cute ducks. A man came and had 10 loafs of bread and were feeding all the birds. It was perfect because we got to see all the ducks and birds walk around and eat, and be so cute! We talked to the man giving the duck birds, and he said he comes everyday. He must own a bread shop or bakery! Our favorite was watching the ducks slip and slide on the ice, so excited to get to the food. It was so cute :) Here are some pictures and a short we got from the afternoon with tons of fog in them! I tried to capture the moment in the video, and get some ducks slipin and slidin...tell me what you think :)

Pelican Feeding and a Video! :)
Monday, January 28, 2013
When Jake and I went to Tracy Aviary on Saturday, we got to feed the pelicans. We thought we would get to toss one fish each to the pelicans but it was even cooler than that! We got to each toss 40+ fish each to the pelicans! I was amazed at how they could see the fish coming and catch it like it was no big deal. Winter time if for sure a great time to go the aviary! You get to do so many neat things! To feed the pelicans it only cost $3.00 each! More than worth it! PS. The fish were not nasty to touch. It was just like sushi for the birds :) I just made sure I grabbed the fish by their tails...
Round one!
The pelicans knew what time it was! I was so surprised at how smart the pelicans were! We were waiting in the food spot for the feeding to start, and I wondered how they were going to get the pelicans to come over to where the feeding spot was. Right as I was thinking that, the pelicans came right on over like they knew what time it was! And they were right! Smart birds!
Tossing some fish!
The pelicans mouths would open so wide! They were so skilled to! I feel having a huge beak would be hard to maneuver, but they are super skilled and graceful in the water! Until next time pelican friends!
