Bloggers Beauty Night Out

This is the super cute Gentri Lee! Gentri and I have been talking online, so it was so nice to finally meet her in person! Last Saturday, she had a super fun girl get together at a new salon she just started working at in Draper! She just got her esthetician license and is building up her cliental  She had the wonderful idea to through a fun party, get girls together and show us what she can do! She is amazing! 

All the bloggers :) I was sad we didn't get to the party till the end (we had already committed to going to the passion fruit mixer before we knew about Gentris party) but I felt we got there in time to meet everyone that was there and get to know some ladies! It was great! I never knew there were so many bloggers in Utah! Its fun getting to know them and make friends!

Everyone talking and hanging out after the giveaways! Gentri had some awesome giveaways for everyone to enjoy! It was an awesome way to top off the night!

missing hair

I always go back and forth between my feelings on long hair vs short hair. I have been loving my short hair, especially since I got straight across bangs again! But looking though old pictures..it makes me miss some long hair action....long braids.... beanie head...

Long pony tails......feeling fancy with long hair for church...

 Long curls....feeling like a baller with hair flowing in the wind snowboarding....

High buns, and long wet hair when you get out of the pool. Those are things I miss.

Things I dont miss about long hair is....long dry time.....taking an hour to curl it all....and thats about it :)

Hair for me is always a dilemma. I always like it how ever it is, but you know..you miss sometimes what you dont have anymore. Short hair is super easy though! Its been really nice for summer!

my new doo

My new doo! I was missing straight across bangs and had to get them again. Now I have a moppy 60ish hair cut! I also dyed my hair. I love getting a fresh new color! I got my hair cut from Shep. He is awesome!

I got some new hair product to! I am excited to try these new Bumble and Bumble products. They recently just came out with new items for colored hair...so I am excited to see how they do. They say the shampoo and conditioner makes it so you dont notice your color fading.... because it wont. So..I hope this is the case :)

short hair styles

Now that I have short hair, I find myself always looking at pictures of short hair styles. I can never if I decided want to grow it out or cut it shorter. Its funny with short hair that you have to grow your bangs, or the back, or sides of your hair to reach a certain hair style. Here are a bunch of short hair I really like :) And not to mention...most of these lovely ladies outfits to :) I need to decided what to do at my hair for my upcoming hair appointment :)

 

MY NEW HAIR CUT :) before and after...

I have felt its been time for a change..maybe because I look like this every day and didn't do my hair, so I thought short hair would be fun for a change! Jake thought it sounded fun too, so I made a hair appointment with Shep at Shep Studio. I know he likes to cut short hair and is known for it, so I knew I would be in good hands.

 If you are wondering if my old pony tail hair is in that black bag...the answer is yes! 

All done! I have short hair now! It was fun because I got to buy some hair product like wax, and moisture items that normally with long hair wouldn't buy! I think I am going to like this short hair business! I just need to grow my bangs out a little bit to reach the bang side sweep I want :)

Me and my old pony tail. My pony tail was 12 inches long, so I sent it off to "Locks of Love" so someone else could have some cute Kelsey hair too. I am excited for a fun new change and to enjoy short hair, which I have never really had before (this short) Wahoo!

Jake kept taking pictures of me doing things, but it got some angles on the hair do... I am excited to take a shower and try to use hardly any shampoo and conditioner!
