BONJOUR! Hope you had a great weekend and an awesome Halloween!  Jake and I got to spend Halloween in Paris!  Did you go trick or treating or get to pass out candy?  We had a fun time but sure missed seeing cute neighborhood kids dress up in costumes!

To celebrate Halloween we visited the Catacombs of Paris!  For the first few days of our trip we had a fun couple we got to go to Paris with!  Our friend Markelle had heard about the Catacombs and made plans for us to go there! I am so glad she thought of it because it was such a neat place!  A little erie, but very cool!

The Catacombs are a giant tomb that holds the bones of 6-7 million Parisians.  Back in the day, France was having problems with the cemeteries taking over to much space.  The grave yards surface levels were getting high, and the city needed to come up with a solution.

The tomb is 19 meters (about 65 feet) below the surface and about 1.5 miles long.  You start your tour going down a long spiral staircase, then going down long tunnels till you reach the tomb entrance.  The Catacombs is a long trail that has skulls and bones in neatly displayed patterns.  The bones in some areas can reach as far back as 20 feet even though in the dark you can not see the walls go back that far. There were a ton of cool facts about the Catacombs but I couldn't remember them all!  I am going to have to research more about it!

Last week,  Jake had the amazing opportunity to visit Mumbai, India.  He fell in love with the kind people there and the unique couture.  He loved the neat clothing there and went to a local shop to see what they had.  He got this sherwani (jacket) there.  Jake flew from India to Paris and we met up there.  He was so excited about his sherwani he busted it out in France.  I loved the look and thought it was so neat with the collar and buttons!

The church we took these pictures at was right next to our hotel!  We passed it anytime we walked to the Metro stop.  The small walkway/courtyard to the church was so cute and covered in yellow leaves!  We felt so lucky to be in Paris while all the leaves were starting to change color!

If you want to follow along on our Paris adventures, we will be posting more from it on our Instagram :)  Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fantastic week!
