We like to eat out..

Hope you had an awesome 4th of July and got to do something fun! Here some of Jakes and I's latest eats! Cubbys! I finally found out why ever one loves it! I got the tri steak this time, and wow, its amazing! Highly recommend it! The tri steak salad and sandwich are amazing!

Jake got the Mr. Beef and Cubbys. It was good but not as good as the try tip! 

In and Out Burger, double double animal style, extra spread and animal style fries! Also, In and Out started charging $3.50 for animal style fries. Thats what I call a sad day! Thats more than a double double burger! I guess no more animal fries now...

I have been seeing Chick-fil-A advertise breakfast, and Jake and I finally went! I got a breakfast chicken sandwich  tots and orange juice! I loved that they had bottled OJ and it was simply orange brand! For the breakfast, it was good, but I just love Chick-fil-A lunch and dinner so much more. It wasn't that my breakfast wasn't good, it was, I just love a McDonalds breakfast to much!

Panda Express has been one of my all time favorite places to eat since I was little. Maybe its my memories of eating there that makes it so delicious, but every time I eat it, I LOVE IT!

I was driving around and wanted a treat, and saw Dairy Queen. I have not had a Dilly Bar in years, and thought I should get one! It was just as good as I remembered!

I finally got around to trying the Tortilla Bar! And wow, can we say AMAZING?! I loved it so much, Jake and I have been going back way to much! The hanger tacos and the empanadas are my favorite items on the menu!

I like to eat out...

Have I mentioned, I love to eat out?! It really is one of my all time favorite things to do! I love chatting and eating a yummy meal! In Midway Utah is one of Jakes all time favorite restaurants, Taramaharas.  Its actually really good mexican food! They have all kinds of dishes that are really yummy, but what we got for is the SALSA BAR! They really have over 30+ different kinds of fresh homemade salsa to pick and choose from! All with different flavors and tastes! Oh YUM! I also got some corn tortillas from their tortilla bakery to take home to make shrimp tacos! We ate the tortillas up so quick they are were so good!

Jake also loves the Horchata here! He thinks its the best you can ever get! I dont drink Horchata much so I have nothing to compare it to. But its quite tasty! 

We got Carne Asada Burritos this time! I really love the green sauce and not so much the red. Its good, but not my favorite by any means. Go green :)

Have you ever heard of Culvers?! Its a fast food place that I have only seen back East and just came to Utah in American Fork. It opened end of January. They have amazing custard! Oh YUMM! Jake got a patty burger melt, we got some fries, a custard with cookie dough, and I got a bacon butter burger. Everything was good, but the fries and custard were divine! Next time I am just going to get fries and custard!

Have you tried Cloud Cakes yet? I was curious to how they compared to a Twinkie. I miss Twinkie. I never ate them, but I miss knowing they are around. The Cloud Cake was good, but its just like the name describes, Cake! It tasted more dense to me than a Twinkie. 

 Mac and cheese with a side of meat balls from Noodles and Co. OH YUM!

Jake and I have been going to Rubios every Tuesday lately for some yummy Fish Tacos! We even buy a container of salsa to take home to eat throughout the week! Oh so good!

 A little trip to Yogurtland! Never disappointing! 

Festival of Colors

Last weekend I got to go to Festival Of Colors with my cute husband Jake and my friend Jenny! Jenny brought her 2 adorable kids, and we all had so much fun!  We got to go up on the temple and watch some people throw color, and even braved the crowds and went to the big mosh pit for a color throwing. They throw color every hour, so you can get lots of color time in if you want :) When you are in the big crowd, and all the color goes up in the air, its a bit suffocating..but its fun ;)

We had a fun time welcoming spring time! We even got to eat some yummy indian food while we were there! Here are some pictures of our fun adventures! (p.s I am still finding color in my ears :)

We couldn't leave Tuna out of the fun, so he wore a plastic bag around him so the color didn't stain him. He could of had a bath in the washing machine after, but it was just easier to have him stay in a bag so he didn't get to dirty.

The lamas are my favorite! I always like to go over to their area, and say hello and pet them :) They are very friendly!

a trip to the Planetarium

A few weeks ago, Jake asked me to go on a special date. Of course I said yes! (I love that Jake still asks me on dates even though we are married now.)  Well, little did I know he wanted to recreate our very first date. Back in the day..Jake had gone running with me for 2 months straight every night before I said ok to go on an official date with him. How horrible am I?!  Well, on our first date Jake took me to the BYU Planetarium. I was so impressed because I told him on one of our late night jogs, that one of my favorite things was looking at stars. I love looking a night sky! I was impressed that Jake remembered that from going on our jogs. He is always so sweet and thoughtful still to this day. Soo....present time, Jake and I went to the BYU Bookstore, got some candy and went to watch the Planetarium show. It was so much fun! I got a chocolate covered carmel from the Bookstore and it was sooo yummy! I think the best part was remembering the fun time I had on our first official date. 

In the BYU Science building there are so many neat things to see and check out! Here are few of the cool stuff and animals we found!

It was a great evening! After the show we enjoyed a yummy dinner, and headed home. Such a fun evening for me! Do you have any dates you remember well or have a special place in your heart?!

Station 22

Station 22 is a super fun/ hip restaurant in downtown Provo. It is open Monday- Saturday 11am to 10pm. If you go on a weekend prepare to wait about an hour for a table! I have gone a few times lately and my shortest wait time has been 40 minutes, so go with some good company to make the time pass by quickly! I have never been at lunch time recently though, so maybe that would be a better bet. I was sad, this time I didn't get a meal I loved. I would highly recommend a side of fries, the Honest Abe with smoke house bacon, chicken and waffles, or something that sounds good. I feel I have tried a few things here I have not enjoyed, so this is one place I have to stick to the basics and get a burger. But obviously I like the atmosphere, and the fries, or else I would not be going back so much :) Jake and I still had a fun time spending our date night dinner here last week though. We even got to see some friends!

Salmon and fries! It was for sure yummy, but the fried part was a bit to heavy for me. I did like the pickle tartar sauce and of course the fries....my favorite!

Jake got the poutine. He loves poutine. He said it was ok, but we were both wishing we had gotten any of the burgers or sandwiches ;( next time right?!
