Cynthia Rowley SS14
Thursday, October 24, 2013
Are you tired of New York Fashion Week Posts yet? Cynthia Rowley was my favorite presentations I got to go to and could not leave it out! I absolutely loved her spring and summer 2014 collection! Everything from the venue, decor, and music was perfect! The prints, the fantastic quality of fabrics and amazing attention to detail all really made her collection shine! I loved the top picture outfits the most! The structure of those outfits were fantastic! At the end of the show, I even got to meet Cynthia! It was a fun experience! Sorry the pictures are not so great, I only had my phone with me :)
Jacobs Pickles
Friday, October 18, 2013

I had heard of Jacobs Pickles and had really been wanting to try it! I wanted to wait to go with Jake because we both love pickles and knew it would be so fun! Also I felt I couldn't go with out my husband Jacob, since the place was named after a Jacob. It just felt wrong :) So, we put it on our New York to do list and went! We were so glad we did! The environment, the setting, the menu options, and OH THE PICKLES! Everything on the menu looked so good, I wanted it all! And seeing peoples food come out, I was getting plate envy and wanted to try everything!
We got a Southern BLT and fried pickles! Oh yummy! We loved it all! Everything was cooked to perfection! My favorite item though was the cheese grits that came with our sandwich! I have never had grits, and with the extra cheesy flavor, it was amazing! Also, I dont love cole slaw, and the pickled cole slaw on the sandwich was so yummy we were eating it by the spoonful! We really wanted to try the pickle sample platter and the mac and cheese but we were so full after our meal! We cant wait to go back sometime again! If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend stopping by Jacobs Pickles for a yummy bite to eat!
Midnight Stroll on the Brooklyn Bridge
Thursday, October 10, 2013
One of my favorite things Jake and I got to do when we were in New York was walk the Brooklyn Bridge! We took the Subway down to Brooklyn around midnight and walked the bridge. It was so fun, I felt like we had the whole place to our selves. On our way walking the bridge we picked up some donuts to eat. Seeing the New York city sky line at night time was stunning! We walked most of the bridge, sat on a bench, ate donuts until it got too chilly out, and then we went back to the subway to go back to our hotel. I don't know what it is about New York but everything there is truly magical, and at night time, even more! Sorry the photos are not the best, they are all from my phone :)

Sunglasses: Karen Walker- Space Bug (similar here)
When Jake and I were in New York we got to go to a Yankees game! We had so much fun! We were sitting high on the last row with a huge fan on us, sitting under the shade! It was perfect for the sunny day out! And even better, the Yankees won :) Jake and I had so much fun eating hot dogs, cheering and watching some baseball. Baseball is one of my favorite sports to watch! It is probably one of the only sports I know some what, whats going on. This is my second Yankees game I have been to, and loved it! I am sad Jake and I didn't get a picture together! I guess well have to make another trip to New York to go to another Yankees game someday :)
NYFW: Zang Toi- Ballet Babe SS14
Thursday, October 3, 2013
Zang Toi was an awesome runway show based on Ballet for the theme. This runway had the best music from any of the shows I got to attend. It was thoughtfully chosen and really added to the show. There were even a couple of people crying next to Jake and I in the show because they were so moved. haha Here are some pictures we got from the collection.
NYFW: Libertine SS14
Friday, September 27, 2013
Libertine was a show Jake and I really enjoyed because there was mens and women's fashion! It was fun to see a variety of looks and an entire collection for each men and women by Libertine. The outfits were really bold, and had loud prints which made a lot of clothing fun statement pieces.
