How cute is this whale mosaic?  When we stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, we saw this mural over by the Kidz Zone and knew we wanted to take pictures by it!  Jake and I love ocean life, so we loved the wall right away!

I got this crop top a few months ago, but it got cold quick where we live so I didn't get a chance to wear it yet!  I knew I wanted to bring it to Cabo since I knew it would be toasty out!  It happened to be super hot while we were in Cabo, so this tank crop top worked out perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! Hang in there, the weekend is almost here!

Todays post we are taking a break from autumn activities and sharing some more adventures from Cabo!  Its so neat how the weather can be so different all over the world!

When we were packing for Cabo, I quickly discovered that I didn't have any sundresses or swim suit coverups to wear to and from the pool and around the resort.  I wanted to find things that were comfy, easy to throw on, but still looked lovely so I could wear them at the restaurants for meals.  I was excited when I found a brand called Betro Simone at Nordstrom.  One thing I love about online shopping is you can always find brands that fit your needs.

Betro Simone had some lovely designs, so I ended up getting a few dresses from them to wear on our trip!  I loved how soft the fabrics were, and the neutral colors of fabrics.

Jake has been a big fan of Ted Baker this past year and loves buying clothes from them.  He is wearing a pull over shirt from them today.  He really loves how the brand has unique prints and awesome color combos!

How is the weather where you are at? Are you still wearing sandals or bundled up winter coats?

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

When we stayed in Cabo, one of our first views from the resort was the stunning ocean!  On the sandy beach we saw horses and their guides going out sunset strolls!  When the Hyatt team found out we wanted to go on a horse ride,  they were so sweet and made our horse riding dreams come true!  They got their photographer Gage Thompson and videographer Brian from lightingbryan.com to come join us and get some sunset shots on the beach.  It was a magical time for us and a fun time we will always remember!

I loved that anyone could have that experience at the resort too!  They have a cute photo shop and photographers on hand to snap pictures for you.  If you have never had a chance to ride horses on the beach yet, we would highly recommend it!

When we found out we were going to get to go horse riding I knew I wanted to wear this orange Eliza J dress.  I knew it would be perfect for flowing in the wind.  I also knew with the pleats in the dress would provide enough fabric that I could sit on a horse even though it was a dress.  Jake is wearing a classic palm print shirt from Jcrew.  He knew you can't go wrong with a tropical print at the beach!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a fun weekend!

Happy Friday!

Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Jake and I are attending his brothers wedding so that should be a good time!  I have been avoiding Snapchat because it is one more dang social media and I didn't know about having one more thing fill up my time!  But....I finally signed up on it...and I am loving it! I can see why it is such a hit! Anyone else love Snapchat?  Anyways... I'll be snapping away the weekend if you want to come join the fun! (snapchat: kelseybang)

When Jake and I stayed in Cabo at the beautiful Hyatt Ziva ,we loved hanging out on these beach cabanas!  They were so dreamy to relax on and hear the sound of the waves crash on the sand!  There were also butlers that were around the beach that would come bring you food and drinks!  Needless to say..it was HEAVEN!

When Jake and I found out that we were going to Cabo, immediately we went to our closets to see what we could pack and realized we didn't have any resort clothes!  So...it was time to go shopping :)

Jake found the most handsome place for swim trunks called Mr. Swim.  Jake was able to stock up on a few pairs of swim suits for the trip!  He loved that they were perfect length, fun colors and neat prints!  When he went swimming in the ocean or pool he said they felt comfortable and didn't ride up at all, so that was nice!  I thought he looked so handsome all week in his cute swim shorts and loved seeing the fun prints and cute colors! P.S this is the best time in the world to by swim wear! All of the Mr. Swim swim trunks are $50 and under!

I was able to get my swimsuit and swim cover up from Becca.  I was so excited to find a matching swim suit and swim cover up!  The bright pink really caught my eye!  The swim suit had really fun cuts on it and a darling design on the back and we forgot to take pictures of it!  Ill need to wear it again sometime soon!  If you are heading to some place warm this Christmas or holiday season make sure to check out Becca for some darling swimwear options! I loved that every collection they have has cute swim coverup options!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Here is another pool look from our trip to Cabo!

Jake is wearing some super handsome swim trunks from Mr. Swim.  If you are ever looking for some great swim trunks for yourself or your man, Mr. Swim is the perfect place to look!  The fit, fun prints, bright colors, length, and feel to the shorts were just perfect and Jake loved wearing them!

My swim look is a combo of items from Mott 50 and Becca Swim.  I have talked about Mott 50 in the past and how much I love the company.  The brand focuses on clothing for the pool that helps protect you from the sun.  I got this sundress from Mott 50 and didn't want to take it off all day because of the soft cozy material!  It was also perfect because the day I wore it, the sunshine went away and it started to poor rain, so I loved the hood on it!

My swimsuit is from Becca Swim.  When I was looking for swim suits to wear to the resort, I wanted something that was a little sexier then I normally wear, but still very put together.... which can be hard to find in a one piece swim suit.  I loved being able to find a black swim suit with great cuts and fun colors that made it not your average black swim suit!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fun day!

While Jake and I were in Cabo we got to attend a very fun event called The Good Taste Series competition, which took place at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.

The event consists of top Hyatt chefs from across North America who battle it out in regional competitions 'till there are only 12 chefs left who have the opportunity to compete in the Good Taste Series.  Each chef was asked to make two dishes.  One sustainable seafood dish and one Mexican-influenced dish with pork.

There were two surprise ingredients that the chefs had to incorporate into their cooking.  One being a Pepsi soda product and the other was bacon.  The plates were judged on taste, presentation, technique and authenticity.  Each chef incorporated local ingredients and regional influences.

Jake and I had so much fun at the event being able to go around to all the chefs' stations and try the tasty creations!  Our favorite part was to be able to talk to the chefs and hear why they created what they did and how their dish came about.

Jake and I tried almost every single dish and by the time the event was over we were so full of so much yummy goodness!  Jake and I love trying lots of different foods so this event was perfect for us!

This year's winner of the competition was Jonathan Felix of Hyatt Regency Mexico City.  We thought it was very sweet that he won in his own country!  Pretty neat.  For his first dish he made Cochinita Pibil Panuchos with Xnipec sauce and his second dish was a Yellowtail tiradito with aji amarillo sauce, purple sweet otato and chia seeds.  The were both great dishes and seemed to appeal to everyone who got a chance to try them!

There were lots of neat judges at the event, but one we got to spend quite a bit of time with and get to know better throughout our time at the resort was Chef Angelo Sosa.  He is the gentleman above in the picture with Jake.  Angelo was a runner-up on Season 7 on BRAVO's hit reality tv show "Top Chef."  He runs several restaurants in New York that we need to go visit!  He has such a passion and excitement for life and is a blast to be around!  He is one of the most sincere people we have met.

Well, thanks for following us on our food journey today at Hyatt's Good Taste Series competition!  We hope you have an amazing day and enjoy the rest of your week!

Romantic Getaway at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Mexico Review

Today Jake and I are so excited to share with you our experience from our recent vacation to Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos!  The stunning baja inspired 35,000 square foot resort with 591 suites opened just a few weeks ago on September 15, 2015.  We were impressed with how everything went so smoothly and it was such a wonderful experience!

Jake and I love to travel all we can, but it's been quite awhile since we took a romantic trip to a tropical location!  We really enjoyed our trip and wanted to share some of our favorite things with you all.

This was our first time to Cabo.  The moment we stepped onto Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos property we fell in love with it.  When you drive into the resort the staff members are there to greet you with warm smiles.  We were very impressed with the staff and how helpful they were to us, as well as all those we saw staying at the resort.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an all-inclusive resort.  That means all your food, 24-hour in-suite service dinning,  children's complimentary supervised programming, nightly entertainment, work out classes, pool and beach butler service are all included in your nightly room rate.

This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and it was a really fun experience!  It was so weird to go to a restaurant and leave without a check, or get drinks by the pool and not have a tab.  It was very dreamy, it makes you feel like a super-star!

At the Resort there are six casual and a-la-carte restaurants.  We were in Cabo for four days/nights and didn't even make a dent going to all the restaurants and food locations.  But that's o.k., it gives us something to want to go back and try!

Our favorite place we did get to eat was the Coco Loco Bar.  When you walked in, you picked a table, filled out a little menu and gave it to the chefs to create your order! Our favorites were the fried fish tacos and chips with guacamole!

One afternoon we had some time to relax at The Spa.   We had a couples massage together outdoor in our own private cabana.  The massage cabanas are floating over a gorgeous reflection pool.  While getting our massages we could hear the soothing water moving and it was so peaceful.  We also lucked out with a light breeze in the air and it really was a perfect time!

After our massages we hung out by the plunge pool that is located in the spa.  Just looking at the picture above of the pool makes me want to go back!  It was a dreamy place to relax and have some "we" time!  I also loved that this area was co-ed so Jake and I could hang out and relax together.  At the spa there are also steam baths, hydrotherapy areas, and a sauna to enjoy!

Could this Kidz Zone be any more darling?!  Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is family friendly with an amazing kids area with a water park, tree house and seasonal sea turtle releases!  How cool is that?  The kids pool and area is on its own side of the resort away from the main pool area so your kids can let loose, have a fun time and be themselves!

The waterslides are supposed to be for kids 4-12 but we snuck over there for an hour going down them because it was so fun!  Our favorite part was the big splash buckets that would dump water and get you soaked! If you have teens, nearby there is an awesome room with pool, ping pong, video games and fun things to enjoy indoors!

There is also an adult only section of the resort with a gorgeous pool area and lots of places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.  The bar in the adult area made Jakes favorite Virgin Strawberry Mojito just the way he likes it!

There were so many places to sit and enjoy the great views!  We felt everywhere we turned there were comfy couches and chairs!  There were lots of outdoor places as well as indoor air conditioned areas to sit.

Can you believe this pink vibrant sunrise!?! There were so many things we enjoyed about the Resort property, but one of our all-time favorites was the amazing sunrises!  We heard they were fantastic and they did not disappoint!

Every morning we woke up at 6 AM so we could go down to the beach for a walk and see the sunrise. It was so hard to wake up early some of the mornings, but after seeing the sun peek out for the day it was very worth it!

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Review

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a gorgeous fitness center that has an over-looking beach front view.  If that is not enough motivation right there to work out on a trip I don't know what is!  We only made it to the gym area once but it was such a great area to exercise.  They also had a roof top basketball and tennis court.

Every night in the Gran Teatro there were amazing shows with song and dance. We were able to attend the Viva Mexico show with authentic cultural music and costumes.  They had some funny comedy pieces with audience participation that were entertaining to watch.

All-inclusive 24-hour room service is where it is at!  I can't even count how many times we ordered late night brownies and treats!  This experience will make it hard to order room service anywhere else.  We also discovered that we could order different types of pillows to our liking.  Just check the boxes of the ones you want on a little note card and housekeeping would swamp them out for you!  The bed was also so comfortable that we got the best sleep we've had in a while!

Thanks for joining us today on our adventures at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos!  If you ever get a chance to go, then do it!  The service, ambience and views are totally worth the trip!  We must have had a great time on our trip because at the airport we had three different people ask us how our honeymoon went! haha none of them believed us when we said we had been married for almost five years. I think it was the Cabo glow :) We hope you have a great week!
