Today Jake and I are so excited to share with you our experience from our recent vacation to Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! The stunning baja inspired 35,000 square foot resort with 591 suites opened just a few weeks ago on September 15, 2015. We were impressed with how everything went so smoothly and it was such a wonderful experience!
Jake and I love to travel all we can, but it's been quite awhile since we took a romantic trip to a tropical location! We really enjoyed our trip and wanted to share some of our favorite things with you all.
This was our first time to Cabo. The moment we stepped onto Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos property we fell in love with it. When you drive into the resort the staff members are there to greet you with warm smiles. We were very impressed with the staff and how helpful they were to us, as well as all those we saw staying at the resort.
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an all-inclusive resort. That means all your food, 24-hour in-suite service dinning, children's complimentary supervised programming, nightly entertainment, work out classes, pool and beach butler service are all included in your nightly room rate.
This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and it was a really fun experience! It was so weird to go to a restaurant and leave without a check, or get drinks by the pool and not have a tab. It was very dreamy, it makes you feel like a super-star!
At the Resort there are six casual and a-la-carte restaurants. We were in Cabo for four days/nights and didn't even make a dent going to all the restaurants and food locations. But that's o.k., it gives us something to want to go back and try!
Our favorite place we did get to eat was the Coco Loco Bar. When you walked in, you picked a table, filled out a little menu and gave it to the chefs to create your order! Our favorites were the fried fish tacos and chips with guacamole!
One afternoon we had some time to relax at The Spa. We had a couples massage together outdoor in our own private cabana. The massage cabanas are floating over a gorgeous reflection pool. While getting our massages we could hear the soothing water moving and it was so peaceful. We also lucked out with a light breeze in the air and it really was a perfect time!
After our massages we hung out by the plunge pool that is located in the spa. Just looking at the picture above of the pool makes me want to go back! It was a dreamy place to relax and have some "we" time! I also loved that this area was co-ed so Jake and I could hang out and relax together. At the spa there are also steam baths, hydrotherapy areas, and a sauna to enjoy!
Could this Kidz Zone be any more darling?! Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is family friendly with an amazing kids area with a water park, tree house and seasonal sea turtle releases! How cool is that? The kids pool and area is on its own side of the resort away from the main pool area so your kids can let loose, have a fun time and be themselves!
The waterslides are supposed to be for kids 4-12 but we snuck over there for an hour going down them because it was so fun! Our favorite part was the big splash buckets that would dump water and get you soaked! If you have teens, nearby there is an awesome room with pool, ping pong, video games and fun things to enjoy indoors!
There is also an adult only section of the resort with a gorgeous pool area and lots of places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The bar in the adult area made Jakes favorite Virgin Strawberry Mojito just the way he likes it!
There were so many places to sit and enjoy the great views! We felt everywhere we turned there were comfy couches and chairs! There were lots of outdoor places as well as indoor air conditioned areas to sit.
We really enjoyed getting a break from the heat in this cool billiards lounge. Jake was no match for my cue stick skills! hehe just kidding :)
Can you believe this pink vibrant sunrise!?! There were so many things we enjoyed about the Resort property, but one of our all-time favorites was the amazing sunrises! We heard they were fantastic and they did not disappoint!
Every morning we woke up at 6 AM so we could go down to the beach for a walk and see the sunrise. It was so hard to wake up early some of the mornings, but after seeing the sun peek out for the day it was very worth it!
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a gorgeous fitness center that has an over-looking beach front view. If that is not enough motivation right there to work out on a trip I don't know what is! We only made it to the gym area once but it was such a great area to exercise. They also had a roof top basketball and tennis court.
Every night in the Gran Teatro there were amazing shows with song and dance. We were able to attend the Viva Mexico show with authentic cultural music and costumes. They had some funny comedy pieces with audience participation that were entertaining to watch.
All-inclusive 24-hour room service is where it is at! I can't even count how many times we ordered late night brownies and treats! This experience will make it hard to order room service anywhere else. We also discovered that we could order different types of pillows to our liking. Just check the boxes of the ones you want on a little note card and housekeeping would swamp them out for you! The bed was also so comfortable that we got the best sleep we've had in a while!
Thanks for joining us today on our adventures at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! If you ever get a chance to go, then do it! The service, ambience and views are totally worth the trip! We must have had a great time on our trip because at the airport we had three different people ask us how our honeymoon went! haha none of them believed us when we said we had been married for almost five years. I think it was the Cabo glow :) We hope you have a great week!
