Fashion Place Mall : Girls Day Out!

Last Saturday, Alycia was so sweet and invited me to go to Fashion Place Mall in Salt Lake for a Girls Day Out Event! Wow, it was so much fun! I loved being able to meet new people, catch up with old friends (who randomly won the giveaway on Alycias blog), eat yummy meal, and get a super cute/awesome swag bag! It was seriously such a great afternoon! I was loving these super cute burlap bags with our swag in them! So dang cute!

Paige, Brittany (friend from Highschool), Emily (roommates for 2+years), and Ashley all wearing our sweet glasses in our bags :) I think we all look like Jonny Depp as Willy Wonka!

For lunch we got to enjoy a meal at the Cheesecake Factory! It was so delicious! Strawberry lemonade ...Yes Please!!!

For lunch I got my favorite meal....chicken fingers smothered in buffalo sauce! Yummy! and mashed potatoes and carrots! It was so delicious! and enough to feed a family of 4 :)

We each got a $40 gift card in our bags! How awesome is that! I used mine at Crate and Barrel and got some super cute Christmas Tree Ornaments! Oh I am already so excited for Christmas, and cant believe it is seriously around the corner! This year flew by way to fast. Jake and I also found our dream dinning room table there, so its now on our save up money list for!

Girls Night Out: Bowling!

Last Friday night was a fun evening! I got to meet some new friends/bloggers at FatCats for some bowling and Costa Vida :) It was really fun! I seriously love meeting new people and making new friends! Its so much fun! Everyone that came was super nice and way cute! I loved it! If any of you ever want to come to fun get togethers, there is always room for more to come!

Ashley, myself, Alycia, Dana, Jenna, Brittany, Diana. Later in the evening Diana had to leave and a Bri came and took her bowling spot! It worked out perfect!

 We bowled to games, had fun playing, and goofing around!

After bowling, Ashley and Alycia and I were talking in the parking lot. We were not ready for the fun to end, so we went to The Chocolate to get some dessert! It was so packed and crowed there the entire time! It was so loud, but it was still fun! We all shared funny love stories and had fun talking.

 Ashley and Alycia got hot chocolate! Its crazy its cold enough outside to enjoy a hot chocolate!

I always have to get a cazookie and a glass of milk! Yum! Great way to end a great night!

weekly update

This has been a great week! Started packing...no food in the fridge so we are eating out....life is great! Monday after running and looking at the new house being built, Jake and I went to In and Out Burger, and Krispy Kreme Donuts! YUM! I am so excited to move into our house! The process of building has been a mostly smooth one, but its just been super time consuming, so Jake and I are both excited for it to all someday soon be done! I would totally build again in the future because this has been such a good experience, but we are just getting so antsy and want to move in!

Monday afternoon, our granite came in the shop, so we went to check it out! Its crazy how each slab looks so different  even if they are the same kind of stone. But we were happy with it! I didn't want a lot of tans in it, so I was happy it looked super gray! Yeah!

Tuesday night for dinner, Jake and I enjoyed some always delicious Happy Sumo! We got a "firecracker," Sweet Heart," Vegas Roll, and I cant remember the other one! We liked them all!

Wednesday I got to go on a super fun Date with Alycia! We had fun searching stores for swim googles! We had no idea they were a "seasonal item" and no where to be found! After a hard search and being scared from witnessing a car accident (everyone looked like they were ok) we went to get some cupcakes and dinner! Sweet Tooth Fairy, spiced up Halloween with the cutest cupcakes! Here is Alycia with hers!

For dinner we went to Terria Mia. It was good! It was fun to have some girl time and enjoy a yummy dinner! I think Alycia looks good with 3 eyes :)

Thursday I enjoyed a fun day at Gardner Village! It was "Witch Fest" and fall break for kids, so I didnt realize how crowded it would be! It was still fun, but it was hard to go around at look at all the witches. To crowded! There was fun food vendors and other neat activities going on for the event though! I went to my favorite fabric store Pine Needles to pick up some much needed fabric! I am so excited to make elephants out of the new fabrics I bought!

Sunday night I made some treats! Dark chocolate pineapple wedges, and strawberries! Some of Jake and I's Favorites! I also got to hang out with Alycia and finally meet her husband Trevor, and play with Diana! It was so great! I love that I have some friends now in Utah! Its wonderful!

When Jake and I went to visit Alycia, Tuna met a new friend! Snort is her name! And she is quite a cutie! :)

Happy Sunday! I am really looking forward to Sundays lately. Just time to unwind, hang out, go to church, relax, make treats, pack....whatever!! Jake was looking handsome the other night because he thought it was couples date night at bowling, but it was just girls night. I had to take his picture at how cute he looked though :) And we were matching..so thats always a plus ;)

Can I just say how much I am loving hats lately ! Always having long hair...and I mean really long hair and a ton of it (extensions for magic thickening)... It was hard to wear hats. Now with short hair, and hair getting greasy so much faster...hats are amazing! I want to buy a ton of them and wear them all the time now! I feel they keep my head cozy and warm now, so they are perfect for it being fall! and its an excuse to not do my hair :)

Remember how I said last Sunday, all I wanted was a relaxing Sunday!? Well it happened! Wahoo! Here are some pictures from Jake and I on our Nintendo park adventure ;)

It was such a beautiful day out, Jake and I went up Provo Canyon again! We want to make sure we get in enough time out doors before it gets to cold to enjoy it!

We both brought our 3DS game boys and played Nientedo in the park for a few hours! I played Lego Star Wars and Jake played his new Pokemon game we got him at Toys R Us. It was super fun and relaxing! I even took a nap wrapped up in the blanket while Jake caught Pokemon :) It was a perfect afternoon!

Its fall time up the Provo Canyon :)

Last Saturday Jake and I went for a fun relaxing walk up Provo Canyon Trail! Oh wow, it could of not been a more beautiful time of the year, and time to break in Jakes new running shoes! I love Utah in the fall! The weather is perfect..(not to cold) and just so dang beautiful out!

After our fun walk, we drove to Heber, to eat at Jakes favorite mexican food restaurant called Tarahumara. The chips and salsa are amazing there! There is a salsa bar with 30 plus different kinds of salsas and dips to try! Its pretty dang fun!

Jake got pork tamales! They were amazing! I will get this next time we go!

I got stuffed chili peppers. It was good, but not my favorite thing I have ordered there!

The drive home through the canyon was just as beautiful as our walk today! I LOVE Provo Canyon!
