Hot Air Balloon Ride in Park City

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Today Jake and I had a fun time going on a Hot Air Balloon Ride! I have always wanted to go on one, and Jake took me! He is the best!
We woke up at 4am to get ready and drive to Park City. Can you see my super tired eyes? We got to the meeting spot at 5:30 am. We didn't realize we didn't need to be there till 6:30am...so we had fun drinking hot chocolate and hanging out.
Our group (Morning Star Balloons) came and joined us, picked us up, and took us to our launch off spot! The sun coming out.
Getting the balloon ready. It was neat to see! The basket we all stood in is for 10 people. It looks tiny, and I was surprised how roomy it was.
Watching the balloon go up...and we hopped in the basket!
 Up, up and away!
 Watching other balloons come up.
I was surprised how hazy it was outside. The fires in Utah just keep on burning. Right by PC by Jordenel lake was one last night! I hope the fires stop soon! It made the air foggy like and I would be super scared if there was a fire by my house!
We used Jakes fish eye lens and it worked out great! It helped capture the entire ambience.
We really enjoyed the hot air balloon. It was not as intense as we thought it was going to be. It was peaceful, calm, and relaxing. I would recommend it to see some fun views and relax.
Landing the hot air balloon was a adventure in its self! The wind was really still and we were having a hard time landing. We landed in a neighborhood, in a large open field, and a neighbor drove his car over to where we were and started yelling at us all. He told us, balloons are not welcome in my neighborhood :) He even called the cops on us. It made for an intense, funny, and comical landing.
Jake, Tuna, Elk at Hotel Park City. Its a lovely hotel.
When we got done with our hot air balloon ride, it was only 9am, so we decided to go have some breakfast! We tried a new place to us called No Worries. Its all breakfast there. Jake got "Dante's Inferno." He really liked it! It was a spicy sausage, egg mix.
I got biscuits topped with sausage patties and gravy, with eggs and hash browns! It was soo good! We will be going back there some day for some more breakfast picks.

After, we had to get some Yogurtland in Celebration of the new spoons that came out that day.
Wednesday morning I woke up to some animal friends cozy in the laundry basket. Jake said I did that in the middle of the night when I woke up to go to the bathroom. I dont remember any of that....
Wednesday I got to go on a super fun lunch date with one of Jake and I's old Sunday School studnets Mckenzie! She is so wonderful! Her and I had blast at PF Changs! It was her first time there and she loved it!
Thursday I woke up to Lamb Chop and Tuna like this....They are only 13, I dont think they should be sharing a bed yet....
We love In and Out Burger! Thursday dinner ;)

 Sunday Snacking....
I finally made Sunday Dinner! Wahoo! They neighbors had a baby, so Jake helped me bring them some dinner!
I made homemade teriyaki chicken and used this recipe in the link! It was pretty good! I liked it :) It was a easy recipe and a crowd pleaser.

to the peaks!

Sunday, August 12, 2012

This last Wednesday, Jakes work rented out Seven Peaks for all the employees and their families! We had so much fun! Lets say our entire time consisted of eating...with a small side of slide rides :)
When we got to the Peaks, we started with some french fries! We were scared the food line would be to long, so we started with a snack. I Love Seven Peaks french fries dipped in ranch! So good!
After we finished our fries, we went to the food line! We were in luck..no line :) So we grabbed some food and found a perfect picnic spot to eat our food and hang out!
After dinner, we got churros! YUM!
We ended the evening with a few hours of tube rides! Its so fun on a two person tube! It makes a ride so much more fun going down than by yourself. Not that I mind a peaceful ride by myself down a waterside, but there is something real fun about a two person tube! We had a wonderful time at the Peaks and cant wait to go again next year for Jakes work!

Scera Shell Outdoor Theatre : Fiddler on the Roof

Saturday, August 11, 2012

Last night (Friday), Jake and I got to go on a super fun date! We got to go see an outdoor play! The show that was being preformed was Fiddler on the Roof! The actors/ singers all did an amazing job! They did the entire movie (which is long) and did a great job with it! Jake and I are going to have to go to the Scera alot more! We loved it!
We arrived to the Scera about 30 minutes early before they let people in for seating! We got front row seats and our own big cozy spot in the grass! Worth it getting there early! Also, they let you bring in your own food! Next time we are bringing pizza! They also had a great concession stand with good food, ice cream and treat choices!
Double date night with Tuna and Lamp Chop. We all shared some Kettle Corn :)
