Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  We have had some fun rainy/snowy weather this week and its been the best! We have been dying for more snow to come since it is almost all melted away!

Today Jake and I are both wearing some fun chunky cable knit items we picked up at Banana Republic.  We always love shopping there for winter staple items!  They always have great finds!

I am a huge bowling fan!  In college my roommate Stacey and I made our own bowling team and joined a league that bowled every Wednesday night for 2 years.  You would think I would of gotten semi decent at bowling, but sadly, the more I play the worse I get! haha  I still love to bowl and love to go any time I get the chance!

One of my favorite activities Jake and I got to do at the Montage Resort in Deer Valley was go bowling!  I have never been to a hotel/resort with its own bowling lanes before! I thought it was pretty neat!   Everything from the design, to the bowling seating, to the white wainscoting on the walls was perfection and made for the perfect bowling atmosphere!  The bowling alley has a darling restaurant right next to it that serves delicious stone fire pizza, and all type of American good eats!  We got a pepperoni pizza and ate the whole thing so quick since it was so tasty!  Nothing better than a night of bowling and pizza!

The snow has been melting, and fast around here!  We've been so sad it's not sticking around!  We're crossing our fingers every day for a magical snow day to come!  So sad to see it melt away :(

Today we are wearing some casual outfits we wore for an easy dinner out!  We have been so obsessed with Indian food lately and been going way too much!  We recently ordered these matching shoes from Cole Haan and have been obsessed with them! They're a hybrid of a Nike sneaker sole and a fancy wing-tip top!  Jake and I were both hesitant on ordering suede shoes during the snow time, but when we read that Cole Haan makes their suede water repellent, I couldn't pass up cute pink shoes!

Four Happy Years

Today is our Fourth Year Wedding Anniversary! Wahoo!  I never knew how happy marriage would make me and being able to spend every day with Jake.  He can always make me smile and really makes life better! These four years have flown by, and I can't wait for a life-time of more years to come together!

S'more Time

Awhile back when Jake and I got to have a fun staycation at the Montage Resort in Deer Valley we had a blast roasting s'mores every night!  There were so many fun things to see and do while at the hotel, but s'more time might have been one of our top favorite things to do there!  

The Montage Resort has complimentary s'mores every evening for their guests.  It is complete with homemade marshmallows (Jake's favorite flavor were the peppermint) already broken up chocolate (milk and dark), graham crackers and roasting sticks!  There are even wipes for cleaning your hands after if you like!  

Our first night we were at the hotel, we rushed down to s'more time right when it started we were so excited!  Jake and I have never been big s'mores eaters, but with the fresh homemade marshmallows on the dark chocolate bars.. we could not stop eating them! We were so amazed we both ate four s'mores each and wanted to eat more of them! 

I have to talk about the homemade marshmallows for a minute since they were so neat!  For starters, the marshmallows were square, which was awesome!  And you could always get your marshmallow just the way you like it!  I don't know how they magically did it, but the marshmallows did not burn.  I seriously tried to light them on fire and they wouldn't!  They must of had magic powder on them or something fun like that ;) Every time you put a mallow in the fire it would be toasted to perfection!

Hanging around the fire was also a fun social event!  Jake and I met two really cool couples that were also staying at the resort and we all really hit it off!  We actually have stayed in contact with them since the stay-cation and we are all hoping to do a Disneyland trip together soon!  I love how being around a camp fire can really be a fun and bonding time!

Jake and I hope to go back for a visit soon at the Montage and eat some more yummy s'mores with the peppermint marshmallows!  They were so tasty and the view was so memorable with the gorgeous snow capped mountain scenery!

Happy Monday! Hope you had an amazing New Years and a great weekend!  Jake and I got back in town from our travels and spent the weekend taking down Christmas decor and organizing the house.  On Saturday evening we went out for a fun dinner to start the celebration of our Anniversary week!  This week, Jake and I will have been married for four years!  Time has sure flown by way fast and I find my self falling more in love with Jake every day!

Today Jake is wearing a fun jacket he picked up at Zara.  Jake has been wanting some drapey clothing and they do not have many clothing choices like that for men, so he was super excited about when he saw this jacket!

I got my stripe poncho from Recycled Design.  I love that it has a turtle neck on it and the material is super cozy!  I also love that it has a fun fringe! I have always been a sucker for items with fringe on them :)
