This week Jake and I got to have a super fun snow date at Park City Mountain Resort.  It was so much fun!  In college I got a snowboarding pass every year and took night classes so I could snowboard.  I miss those fun days, so being able to go snowboarding was a real treat! And even more of a treat to go with Jake :)

We had so much fun going down some of our favorite runs and enjoying the beautiful weather out!  The clouds were so incredible, I couldn't stop looking at them all day! The pictures don't do them justice! They were so incredible against the bright blue sky!  It also didn't hurt that it was so nice and sunny out! The weather was perfect! We even got goggle sun tan lines! haha

After a fun day on the mountain, we felt like some waffles so we headed to Waffle Luv.  We had never been to their new restaurant so we thought we would check it out.  I am a big food truck fan, so I didn't know how I would like the food at a restaurant, but I love it! I think what I loved most of all was having a nice place to sit and eat!  Jake and I both got the chocolate stuffed waffle with whip cream and strawberries.  It was a winner!

For Jake's and my second day at Disney World we spent it at the Magic Kingdom.  This is the park we were most looking forward too knowing it was going to be a lot like Disneyland.  It was similar to Disneyland, but yet super different.  For one, it was HUGE, and a lot of the displays/ restaurants, etc. were different.   It was fun to see the changes! I think going to Disneyland so many times over the years made me more partial to Disneyland. I still had so much fun though and would go to Disney World again in a heart beat!

Some of my favorite changes were having new places to eat!  Disney World had its own app, and every night I would research all the restaurants and star the ones I wanted to eat at! It was super helpful in navigating our trip and finding places we wanted to try and eat! My favorite part was the app listed the menus and the prices so I could figure out what places we wanted to splurge and save at.

The first place we tried was the Friars Nook.  We got the bacon cheeseburger mac and cheese! It was seriously the cheesiest mac and cheese I have ever had! It was loaded with cheese! It was super tasty but so rich I could only have a few bites!

So next we headed to Gaston's Tavern to try out a LoFou's Brew and got a chocolate croissant to go with it! I love Disney's chocolate croissant! They are one of my favorites! As for the brew, it had a nice froth to the top of the drink and a good flavor. Its worth a try if you happen to be in the area :) All through out the day we ate sugar cookies, turkey shaped rice crispy treats, popcorn, Mickey ice cream sandwiches, fudge, churros and the list goes on!  We just snacked all day long :)  One thing I love about Jake is he is always up for sharing meals, which I love so we get to try more things to eat!

For dinner we tried the Harbour House.  I really wanted to try the lobster roll, it looked so good, but I was craving fried fish, so we got the fish and chips.  It was pretty good so I was happy we went with that.  The Harbour House was probably one of my favorite places we ate at because there were so many places to sit! Most of the restaurants had 2 stories of seating! How rad is that?! I always choose to eat our meal on the top floor and look out the window or sit on a balcony and enjoy our meal.  Nothing better than a Disney view while you eat!

In the evening we got to watch Disney's Electrical Parade.  This is something I have always dreamed about since I was a little girl and have always wanted to.  I actually thought the Electrical Parade no longer existed, but was ecstatic to find out it still went on and we would get to see it!  It was just as amazing as I dreamed! I loved the music, the lights, it was all fantastic! I was so sad, my favorite part of the parade we didn't get any good pictures but they had a couple patriotic light floats and I loved it!  Sometimes I forget how much American Pride I had, but I am really so grateful every time I see someone honor our country.  I am so grateful for so many who have served America to make it what it is today.

After the parade Jake and I ran around and caught a few more rides before the park closed. It was a fantastic day! More Disney Pics to come end of next week.... :)

Recently Jake and I went to Disney World for an entire week to celebrate our 3rd anniversary! I love that every year Jake wants to do something fun to celebrate us getting married.  We usually end up doing something Disney related since we love Disney.  Jake and I were really looking forward to this trip since it had been a long time for both of us since we have been to Disney World.

There were also several parks we have never been too!  If you follow me on instagram, I shared a few days at Disney World while we were gone on our trip! I should have done more fun posts, but sometimes I really like to enjoy the moment and forget phones exist :)

Since we spent a bit of time at Disney World, I thought I would break the posts up over the next few weeks mixed in with our regular His and Her styled posts.

Todays pictures are at our first stop we went to, Animal Kingdom courtesy of Walt Disney World Resorts!  Since it was like we were going on a safari adventure I made sure to bring my trench coat! I was so glad I did because it ended up being freezing! I know it sounds crazy for Florida to be cold, but it was! In fact, it was so cold we wore ponchos on a few days to hide from the rain! hahah and our flights got canceled going home because of weather in surrounding areas....but that's a story for another day :)

Jake and I loved the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom. We got to the park right when it opened and went straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari.  I was so glad we did because all the animals were so active and out and about! I loved all the animals, but the the hippos, alligators and rhino really stood out to me! Jake and I had so much fun exploring a new park and spending time together.

At Animal Kingdom, not only did they have cool animals, but there were dinosaurs!  We are big dinosaur fans so that was fun!  There was also a Finding Nemo play! That was awesome! I wish the music they did for it was a little more catchy but the outfits/costumes and performers were amazing!

They have an amazing tiger exhibit and there were several super playful tigers that kept coming up to the glass and saying hello to us.  I think the winners of the day for Jake and I were the Bats! Wow, they were so amazing, and HUGE!! You can't tell from the picture above but the bat spreading his wings was at least 4 feet wide! They were so cool and huge! I loved it!

Any time we go to a Disney Park, the number one thing we care about is "what are we going to eat?!" We are huge disney food fans! At Animal Kingdom we started off at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. Jake and got a hot chocolate (because it was freezing out!) and some elephant ears! I think of the entire trip, the elephant ears pastry was my favorite food item we got! I loved the rich donut taste dipped in chocolate! Oh so good! For lunch we went to the Flame Tree Barbecue.  Jake and I split a pork sandwich, french fries and and a key lime pie tart! I think my favorite part of the meal was trying out all the fun bbq sauces they had to try! There was also an amazing man playing serenading the area with his fantastic sitar skills! Seriously some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard.

For treats we ate a traditional Mickey Mouse pretzel with cheese! Oh yum :) We also tried a place called Trilobites and got a warm waffle with fresh strawberries and cream.  It was pretty good, but wasn't my favorite item we ate that week. The strawberries were super fresh though and a great treat to hold us over till we ate lunch!

We stayed at Animal Kingdom 'till the park closed, but we were still ready for some more Disney fun so we headed over to Epcot to finish the day off! More pictures to come soon :)
