a fantastic week!

Monday I went to the dentist. I realized after going it had been way to long since I had been to the dentist and was way past due. I also learned I need to start flossing again because my gums were inflamed and were bleeding like crazy all over the lady working on my teeth. Sorry cute lady. I will start flossing because that was nasty. My mouth was so sore after a day at the dentist. It was so worth it though because my mouth felt so refreshed and rejuvenated!

Tuesday I got to do something fun that I have never done! I got to work a volunteer shift at D.I.  I had so much fun! I got to go for my ward. They put me sorting womens clothes and color sorting them! I had a lot of fun doing it! I would defiantly go back!
For dinner Jake and I went to Rubios for taco tuesday! We used to go all the time, but somehow we have forgotten about tasty taco tuesday! It was soo yummy! We need to start putting this back into our routine! Then to top off the meal, we went to Yogurtland! Right now at Yorgurtland it is Hello Kitty themed! Hello Kitty and Yogurtland uniting was the best decision anyone could of made! To bad its only a summer thing. In the picture on the top left, I think the best part about it is Jakes reflection in the door.
My dad was really cute and really wanted me to get a class ring! So, this is the one I picked out and it came in the mail Wednesday morning! I really like it! and I like wearing it to! My dad even had a cute message engraved.
That morning I headed up to Im Beautiful Salon in Draper to get my hair done by my friend Aubrey! (I stole these pictures off the internet). She always does a great job! My old roommate Emily works there to so it was a fun reunion! When we were done with my hair, Emilys cute sister Shelly came to get her hair done! So I got to stay and talk to everyone for a few hours! It really was a blast! I haven't been able to hang out with these girls in a while so it was great to catch up!
After some great talking, I was quite hungry! I walked next door to In and Out Burger to get some lunch! This was really the best burger I have ever had at In and Out. Oh scrumtrillescent!
Then I headed to the airport to pick up Staceypants!!! I was soooooo excited for her to be coming back for good from summer vacation! Its exciting having school start and having friends come back in town! And yet, I am so glad I am not starting school! I will miss learning and having some fun classes, but I will not miss standing in long lines for the text book rush, and doing papers. I will miss seeing friends on campus though! Anyways, I got Staceypants from the airport and it was so fun to have a friend back to play with! We talked a bit on the phone this summer, but in person is so much better! Welcome home Staceypants!
Then we met Megan at PF Changs for a yummy dinner! Stacey was so awesome and took us on a date! I got my usually Dan Dan Noodles, but Stacey got us crab wantons and a china wall death cake! Oh sooo good! We were all laughing and having a good time till we realized they needed us out to seat more people.... We still had a good time after that! We headed to my old apartment for a fun sleepover!
Tunas got a girlfriend! And he really likes her!!! Her name is Shi Shi! Well thats short for a type of seared tuna. I think Tuney may be in love! We will see! Tuna has been dying to meet Shi Shi all summer! Staceys mom found Shi Shi and has been helping these two love birds keep in contact this summer. I guess we could called Stacey cute mom an amazing match maker. Tuna told me some things he loves about Shi Shi are her cute heart, her curly tail and her big hair bow. Tuna loved that Shi Shi got all ready to meet him. They have a date Friday night!

The sleepover with Megan and Stacey was a blast! We played till late and had a great time! We even played MASH. That was so fun. We were all rolling laughing! We found out from MASH that Stacey will be dying of obesity and have a pet rhino, and Megan will never get married but have four kids? Yes does not make sense. We added some new categories to the game that made it quite entertaining.

In the morning (Thursday) when we woke up, Megan was responsible and went to work. Stacey and I got ready to go to one of our favorite tradition spots!
Great Harvest! For chocolate chip pumpkin bread! OHHH so good! It is always delicious! Then Stacey and I parted, and I came home and read! I was in a reading mood today and got a lot of things read!
Jake made a really yummy dinner! He called them pillow pockets, but I think they are formally known as ravioli? I like pillow pockets. And smothered them with fresh tomato! It was really good!
I really had a fun time reading today! I was finally able to finish The Lost Hero. It was so good! I want the new book to the series to come out already! Then I read the second book in the series Artemis Fowl. I liked the second book better than the first. His books take me a little bit getting into and having fun with it. I feel like Rick Riordan books are always action packed the whole time! But I am going to go on and hopefully finish the Artemis Fowl series. Then I started to read some Roald Dahl books! I love him! He is such a fun writer! His books are so clever and cute! Jakes grandma got him a series book box of Roald Dahl, so that is next on my list! I want to read Witches because Aimee and I would watch that movie over and over and children and get scared from it. I remember a creepy lady trying to get a boy down from a tree to eat a chocolate bar and she had a scary snake and turns the boys to mouses. Thats about all I remember there. Then I read a book from Roald Dahl I have never heard called The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. It was so cute. That and Fantastic Mr. Fox are such cute books and easy reads. Takes an hour or so. Good books for all ages. I am on Roald Dahl kick now and want to read all of his books!

Friday was quite an adventurous day. I got to run some errands in the morning and went and picked Staceypants up for an afternoon bike ride!
It was a great ride! I felt bad because when we got to the top of our ride I started getting really dizzy. When we pulled over for a water break I don't really remember what happened, except for Stacey helping me lay down and taking my helmet off. I guess I blacked out and fainted on my bike. I was so glad Stacey was there! And so glad we were not riding our bikes at that moment. Thats how you know you have such a good friend, when they are so patient with you and help you out. I was so glad I had sunglasses on so Stacey didn't see the whites of my eyes when I passed out. Once I passed out on Jake and he is still scared at when my eyes rolled back and were all white...Anyways, Stacey was the best and held my hairbun and poured water on my neck to keep me cool. She is the greatest! Despite what happened, it was a really fun bike ride! I love playing with Stacey!

When I got home, I took it easy till Jake got back. For date night we had planned doing a double feature at the dollar movies! For two movies for both of us it was only seven bucks together! That is what I call a great deal!
The first movie was saw was Winnie the Pooh! We loved it! My favorite part was when Pooh was dreaming of hunny, and at the very end when they had still shots of stuffed animals doing the movie. So cute! Jake and I loved that Zooey sang some of the songs for this movie! Jake even got us popcorn and we ate the whole thing! Movie popcorn is the best ever! Maybe its the butter...
For dinner we headed over to Jimmy Johns and split a sub! We tried I think it was #16? Turkey, avocado, tomato, and bacon. It was great! I would order it again!
Then we went and saw Thor! It took us a long time to make it to the theaters to see this, but we made it! We really liked it! Yes cheesy, lots of stories going on, but good!
After a great movie night we went to ColdStone and got our favorite Cookie Don't You Want Some with oatmeal cookie batter! Yummy! Then we came home and got things ready for the Star Mill Flea Market in the morning!
Saturday I did a flea market at StarMill! My all time favorite Antique store! It has the coolest stuff around! It was a great time! It is such a fun environment and great people! The store owner even helped me get my crafts set up! I love this place! Since it was a Beatrix Potter Festival, they had treats, giveaways, book reading with Beatrix and so much more! It was fabouls! I would love to do something at StarMill again!
When it was lunch time Jake went to Subway to get us a sub! This sub was my favorite (buffalo chicken) with jalepenos smothered in ranch! I could eat just that all day!
Jake is always the best helper! I am so grateful to have a husband that supports my sewing addiction!
My friend Ruth let me borrow her tent for the flea, so we went to go get her a treat! We got a loaf at Great Harvest and ended up getting some yummy slices for us! Jamba Juice was next door so we got to use our Jamba gift card and get some refreshing drinks! I tried Aloha Pineapple and will defiantly be getting that again! It was great! Not to much pineapple at all, but a refreshing sweet taste! Then we headed home to unload the car.
I have been excited all day to pick a winner from the giveaway on my blog! I got to do that and the winner was my old bookbinding friend
I had fun doing the giveaway and would like to do another someday.

This evening, Jake and I had a relaxing one reading. I even toke a warm bath and read a book in it. I forget how refreshing baths can be. Today from Roald Dahl I got to read
His books are so fun to read, I feel they can be read pretty quickly! Tales of childhood I didn't get all the way through because I felt like reading stories, but it was fun to see stories from Roald Dahls childhood. It seemed many of his stories came from experiences or people he had met in life. The Witches, so much different than I remember! I really liked it, and would read it again! Esio Trot was so cute! Especially because there were tortoises in it, and I love tortoises! Magic Finger was hilarious! Twits, not my favorite, but still fun to read. I liked the monkeys in the book! It was a great day of reading.

Then Jake and I watched the movie The Witches. That would give any child nightmares. Green smoke, creepy rat/people scenes, evil witches! Yeah! And in the movie they changed that witches have purple eyes. That was not in the book. There were a lot of diversions from the book, but it was fun to watch. The movie was so creepy that it is halloween worthy.
Sunday morning, made pancakes for breakfast! I love having left overs to eat like cookies, or heat up and eat! Pancakes always make tasty left overs! Then we went to church! It was a great day! I was excited because we had a lot of our kids back from summer break in our sunday school class! In church a lot was talked about making goals. I used to make goals all the time, but I have not in quite a bit. I think today I may make a goal sheet. I know a triathlon is one goal I want to do soon!
For dinner we unthawed some sweet pork we had in the freezer and made sweet pork burrito/enchiladas.
We added black beans and rice and they were really good! Well have to make these again! I am loving the whole idea of freezing food and unfreezing it. It is a whole new world.
Our landlord has been bringing us so many fresh veggies from her kids gardens! I am loving it!

This has been a great week! I want to go read more and enjoy a cozy Sunday evening!

This has been a great week for Jake and I. While sewing crafts this week I was watching one of my favorite shows called "Man Vs. Food" and we saw the making of a true corn dog at the original corn dog castle called "Cozies." So Jake and I went for corn dogs at Sonic. And a few other things to...Strawberry/Orange Cream slushes are still my all time favorite item on the menu. And I was so disappointed to find out they no longer serve Chicken Finger Dinners.
For dinner Thursday we had a yummy salad and topped it off with a smoothie with granola on top! So, this sounds gross, but let me tell you, it was a great way to get veggies in.....I took frozen shredded zucchini and put two cups of it into the blender with the smoothies and it was delicious! With vanilla yogurt in it to drown out the zucchini taste, it was so good! I am going to do that now with every fruit smoothie. Then Jake and I wasted a night watching an entire season of Americas Next Top Model. We watched all of season 14. Yes a waste of time, but so much fun! It was a splendid night!
Friday was a great day! All our biking goods came in the mail! Jakes dad told us of an awesome online store called "Nasbar" that sells gear and all kinds of biking goodies. We found some goodies and all of our stuff fit great and is working out well! Then Jake and I got to go to the Provo Temple together. That was a fun time!
After we got the best dinner ever. I always love Hawaiian Haystacks on my birthday, but if I couldn't have that, I would choose this exact meal. Arbys Jalepeno Poppers(the sauce is soo yummy that goes with it), and Betos Carne Asada Burrito.
I want to eat this again just looking at the picture! Then we finished off the night watching The Legend of the Seeker(super cheesy), Save By The Bell (just as awesome as I remembered, maybe even better now), and Signified (always hilarious).

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and got ready for the Main Street Sidewalk Boutique. McDonalds is always a great start in the morning! Mcgriddles are the best with their surrupie buns!
Jake is always the best helper! He is such a trooper.

LilllyMae Bags and some home decor items.
My Favorite Pal: Matching Dad and Son Ties. She will be at Swiss Days coming up the first weekend of September! They are really cool zipper pull ties!
Scentsy...I am still dying at how cute these stuffed animals are! I love them! I need to get one! (for Tuna)

There was a cute lady in the back selling jewelry, but her stuff was already pulled down before I got a picture. The sidewalk sale was fun to talk to friends, make new friends and have a good time! Lets just say though...Utah is a tuff crowd.

When we got home from everything we unloaded the car and took a nap and watched Signified till our double date to Outback Steakhouse began! We went and picked up our friends Ruth and her husband Kelly to go to dinner.

We all got some yummy cheesy fries to split! They were actually really good fries! They were kind of spicy and really tasty with the cheese and bacon.
For Dinner we got my favorite, the victoria cut filet! Yum!
It was fun to play with Ruth and Kelly. We were all laughing and having a good time!

When we got home, Jake and I went for a bike ride! It was my first time ride through intersections and it was kind of scary but not as bad as I thought it would be. I was a little hesitant because the week before a car ran me off the road...but all went well today! I will do it again! We had a lovely bike ride through Provo Canyon. It was perfect temperature out and not crowed at all! Perfection!
Tuna had a great time on the bike ride! He loves coming along and hanging out in the fannypack.
You would think after having dinner, we would be full, but after a good bike ride, some good food is needed! I guess since we didn't eat lunch, dinner was our lunch and late night dinner was our dinner! Right now at Pizza Hut they are having "the box" deal. We decided to give it a shot! It was great! I loved having the bread sticks and cinnamon bread with the pizza because normally we wouldn't get those extras! Jake and I were really surprised to see how delicious the cinnamon sticks were!
Sunday, Jake made me my favorite breakfast! He was so excited because he used mini chocolate chips in them instead of big chocolate chips! For some reason we think mini chocolate chips taste better than the bigger ones? Don't know why. Jake did a great job on the pancakes! Delicious!

Church today was great. I really enjoyed it. The fire alarm went off and we all played out side  for about 15 minutes! It was really fun! I really loved our Relief Society lesson on the importance of temple work and family history. It makes me think I need to be good about keeping a journal so my family can have my family history.
When we got home from church I made some sugar cookies for Jakes home teaching families!
I love vibrant frosting! This bright pink is my favorite! For some reason I find frosting things relaxing. Maybe I will start putting bright pink frosting on everything! I am also excited because Marin and I asked Heather if we could throw her a bridal shower and a bacholorette party! I am sooo excited for those! Marin and I are going to start planning asap! I feel like all my friends got married, so I made new friends, then all those friends got married, then I made new friends, then I got married, and now all my friends are getting married. A great cycle of life :)
This evening after eating yummy left over pizza, Jake and I wrote my Grandma love notes and drew pictures. I wrote letters with some of my favorite memories with grandma. It brought back some great thoughts thinking about it all. Last week my grandma had a pretty bad stroke and is a rehabilitation center. I was totally surprised by this because my cute 91 grandma is in good shape, very wise and healthy. I hope she will recover well (and soon)! I hope even more I can go visit her and grandpa in Ohio and watch episodes of our favorite show "I Love Lucy." My grandma is the best at sending mail! Especially birthday cards! Every time I get one it is covered in stickers, so Jake and I made sure to put lots of stickers inside and outside on all of our letters. Now I just need to make a package! I miss my grandparents.
My mom sent me this cute picture of my new niece Lindy! I was dying at how cute she is! Her huge eyes are beautiful! And so much hair! Too cute!
