Jake and I were lucky to go to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms spring this year! These are not cherry blossoms, but they were so bright and beautiful we had to take pictures by them!  I love spring time with all the beautiful blossoms and flowers coming up! It makes for so many beautiful places to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors!

We have been getting rain on and off this month and we have been loving it!  We wish it rained more!  There is nothing I love more than falling asleep to the sound of rain!

Recently I got these super cute wellibob rain boots from Joules and I have been dying to wear them in the rain! I have been wanting a pair of ankle boots and these worked out perfect! Don't get me wrong I love a traditional rainboot to the knee, but sometimes they are hard to get off, or I am in a hurry and need a quick shoe to throw on, so these ankle rain boots worked out perfect!

When Jake and I went to Epcot a few months ago we had so much fun exploring all the countries.  When we were in the London Shop, we saw this darling Paddington Bear and had to get him!  If you didnt know...I am sucker for stuffed animals, and since Paddington Bear was so dang cute, he was a must to take home!  I loved Paddington's Cute outfit and rain boots and I wanted an outfit just like him! I was so glad with my Navy Joules Quilted Coat, and new Yellow Wellibobs I was able to have an outfit like Paddington's :)  Thank you Joules for making my cute rain outfit dreams come true!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week!

Today I am wearing my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans I bought at Gap a few months ago! Sometimes its super nice to be able to wear something other than a skinny jean!  I feel like I could wear these every day! Jake is wearing some new slacks from Joules.  He has been looking for a nice pair of european cut slacks that are perfect for every day wear and light breathable material for summer time!  He loves these Joules ones so much he wants to order them in a few colors!  Do you ever find the perfect pant and love to wear them every day?

Washington DC National Art Gallery

In Washington DC, Jake and I tried to go to as many museums as we could.  One of our top favorites was the Smithsonian National Art Museum.  There were beautiful paintings from many time areas that were so fun to see.  I was loving seeing all the different clothing and outfits from different time periods. I didn't realize how casual we all dress now.  We really have got rid of a ton of layers and ruffles in our everyday clothing!

There were several exhibits with some super famous art work on display.  One was the young girl below this writing.  This picture was painted by Leonardo da Vinci.  It was beautiful! So detailed, and the back was even painted with a special inscription.

There was also a Vincent Van Gogh exhibit with several paintings from him.  You could see the thickness of the paint coming right off the canvas.  The brush stroke details were fantastic!

The National Art Museum building itself was so beautiful.  All the columns and marble was the perfect place for so many pieces of art.  There were lots of couches and chairs to sit and enjoy the art, which we really liked!  It was nice to take some time and really study a certain painting.  Also they had a beautiful rotunda with a huge fountain.  Jake loved it!

Here are some of our favorite paintings/ artifacts on our adventure at the National Art Museum.  There are a ton of pictures! I had a hard time narrowing down the pictures to just a few! :)
