One of Jake and I's favorite part about Disneyland and California Adventure is the food! We are BIG fans! Not only do we love food, we loved the Disney themed food! So delicious!!! Here are some things we ate at our few days at Disneyland. I am so bummed that I forgot to take pictures of a lot of our food (lots of churros, frozen lemonade, chimmichangas, fresh baked goods....) We were to hungry and scarfed it up :) Heres what we did get pictures of....
We got the Verde Scramble Cone (pictured above). It was wonderful! You really have to like alot of verde flavor though if you'll like the Verde Scramble Cone. I think we would of liked the Bacon Scramble Cone better, so well have to try that next time. At lunch time, they have a Chili Cone Queso, and it is amazing! Highly recommend that!
Churros are the best! We could eat them all day!
Sonoma Chicken and Apple Salad at Pacific Wharf Cafe. It was ok, but I have to be honest...we didn't really like it. We didn't even finish it... Our first time not really liking something we picked at CA. Now we know, always get the soup bowls, and we will always be full and happy!
Bengal Barbecue next to Indian Jones is for sure our all time favorite right now! We ate here several times this trip! The skewers are so tasty and fresh! Sometimes after eating tons of churros and candy, I need something refreshing, and Bengal Barbecue is it!There was a special event going on at Disneyland over by Thunder Mountain Ranch for the Christmas Holidays! We tried Rosca De Reyes, Sweet Tamales, and the Spiced Cider! We LOVED it all! It was a fun, different treat we would not normally get at Disneyland. I dont think I would get them every time I was at Disneyland, if they had them all year around, but its a fun holiday treat.
We love the Disney Bakeries and spend a lot of time eating there! The cookies, pineapple wedges, toffee, turtles, pretzel sticks, it all is amazing! This was our first time trying a huge Disney cookie and loved it! We will have to get one every time we go now! It was super dense and thick, so its filling and delicious. Its also very soft and chewy! Just how I like my cookies!A mickey turtle! I am sad, we have not seen the turtles in the to-go packages anymore :( But the cold turtles from the bakery are just as good!
We also love the carmel/chocolate apples! Not only are they so dang cute, they are so dang tastey!
We could not get enough of the Bangal Barbecue...! We were passing it by often to get a skewer snack.
Bengal Beef Skewer and the Cheiftan Chicken SkewerOutback Veggie Skewer and the Safari Skewer (our 2 favorites)!
Corn Dogs from the little red wagon = breakfast of champions
One evening we spent it at California Adventure and tried the Ghirardelli Fountain! We got the brownie Sunday and woooooooowie! It was divine! Very rich and choclately, but yummy!
Doll Pineapple Whip, and Pineapple juice by the Tikki Room. So fresh and delicious even when its freezing outside!
On our last night, we had reservations made over at the new restaurant at CA, but we were way to cold to move from Disneyland, so we ate at the Blue Bayou. I was sooo glad we did, because our meal was my favorite we have ever gotten at the Bayou!
We should of used the flash for the pictures..oh well. Gumbo!Yummy Salad
Filet Mignon with potatoes, asparagus and a crab cake! Oh wow! We both got the same thing, and about licked our plates clean!
For dessert we shared a chocolate lava cake with peppermint ice cream! I had no idea I loved peppermint ice cream, but on chocolate lava cake....I could eat it all day and night! Cant wait for another Disney adventure someday soon :)
